The Peregrine Falcon are one of the native bird species found in Scotland. Scotland offers a diverse range of habitats that are suitable for peregrine falcons, including coastal cliffs, mountainous regions, and moorlands. These birds are known to breed in various locations across Scotland, including the Highlands, islands, and some urban areas.
Peregrine falcons are often observed nesting on cliffs and rocky ledges, where they build their nests called "eyries." They are skilled hunters and feed mainly on other birds, which they catch mid-flight using their incredible speed and agility. While peregrine falcons are widespread in Scotland, they can sometimes be seen soaring through the skies or perching on prominent vantage points.
It is worth mentioning that peregrine falcons, like other birds of prey, are protected under the law in Scotland. This protection helps ensure their conservation and safeguard their habitats. Many nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers visit Scotland to catch a glimpse of these majestic birds in their natural habitat, showcasing the significance of peregrine falcons in Scotland's rich wildlife.
Enjoy the great outdoors in comfort & style in a sustainable and environmentally kind manner.
